  • ROLE PROFILE:
    We are currently looking to recruit a Business Development Lead to work alongside and report in to the (Business Development) Director. This is an important role within the company. The successful individual will be primarily responsible for the growth of company’s business and revenues in the electricity transmission and distribution market sector within the UK. The successful candidate is likely to have experience within the Power and / or Multi-Utilities sector, however experienced candidates from other civil engineering or construction industries are also encouraged to apply.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
    The responsibilities will include leading and managing the bid preparation process while maintaining contact with the clients and liaising with the engineering and procurement staff to propose an efficient solution and to complete the bid package within clients’ target dates.

    Typical responsibilities include:

  • Preparation or helping to prepare sales and marketing strategy for the company to increase their market http://laparkan.com/buy-sildenafil/ presence and continue to develop their market as specialist contractors within the electrical supply industry
  • Development of commercial bid strategies and identification of target projects both in short term and long term, in particular for large UK and European infrastructure projects
  • Conducting market research in the electric utility sector
  • Setting up an improved market awareness & business intelligence network to support growth
  • Gathering market and customer information and providing feedback on future business trends
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers and to identify new opportunities by visiting client’s offices in person, and via telephone calls and emails
  • Gaining a clear understanding of customers’ businesses and requirements
  • Leading and management of bid package from a commercial point of view
  • Understanding commercial terms and conditions and to make appropriate risk mitigation strategies to protect the company’s revenues
  • Liaising with the engineering and procurement staff to prepare design packages and cost data for inclusion in the bid
  • Management of contract negotiations with the client

    QUALIFICATIONS / TRAINING

  • Full UK Driving license

    SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • A proven track record in delivering sales across a diverse client base
  • At least 4 years in a similar role
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, awareness & professionalism
  • Excellent relationship building skills.
  • Experience in not only opening doors, but closing sales
  •  

    DESIRED

  • You should have an established history within the power supply industry in UK (or Europe) and a comprehensive knowledge of the opportunities and business contacts within the industry
