Award of new contract – London Dock

Reach Active have been awarded the London Dock contract for Utility Diversions, by new client St George.

London Dock, Wapping, is a residential mixed-use scheme, with an element of flexible commercial, retail, cultural, school and leisure uses.

Award of new contract – Selfridges

Reach Active have been awarded the new contract of 278 Public Realm works in conjunction with Westminster Council. The scope will involves works including the reconstruction of chambers, installation of infill covers, minor slewing of utility apparatus.

Safety Stand Down Day 2017

Reach Active’s Safety Stand Down Day took place this month across the UK & Ireland. The aim of the Safety Stand Down Day is promote and embrace Health & Safety throughout the company, covering all of the work divisions.

To start the day at the UK event, Managing Director Seamus Gallagher introduced the speakers and management teams. This involved addressing the company’s core values, STRIVE, and the impact Health & Safety has on the company.

Safety Leadership & Culture Specialist, Dan Terry, lead the team building exercises and discussions for the duration of the day.

Key members of each department showcased the progression and developments made within the last year. This covered areas including Building Services, Multi-Utility Diversions, HV Cable & Ducting/ICP Delivery and Overhead Lines. Followed by a presentation from Martin Hart, giving an insight into proficiency based training and steps being taken to provide this to staff.

HSQE topics were discussed by Serena O’Sullivan (HSQE Manager UK) and John O’Meara (HSQE Manager IRE), which took an in-depth view at the company safety statistics, recent training improvements and plan for new targets in the coming year.

SSAIB Inspection Result

Our Building Services division have recently been audited by the SSAIB (Security Systems & Alarms Inspection Board). The Inspection Report makes reference to continued delivery of high quality services and compliance with codes of practice. No corrective actions were identified and our accreditation continues for another year.
