British Land 10 Year Broadgate Masterplan (100 Liverpool Street)

  • Design and build of a bespoke 1500kVA temporary substation (TBS).Liverpool Street Station and Broadgate are the home to multiple businesses and restaurants, creating a vibrant seven day a week location. This generated a considerable volume of daily pedestrian traffic from both tenants and the general public servicing these premises and any interruptions or delays was unacceptable. During its works on this Reach Active employed meticulous stakeholder management to ensure that the impact of its work on the campus was minimised.

Reach Active scope consisted of:

  • All works undertaken within the roadgate Estates complex basement gyratory system.
  • Design of 4 integral permanent substations ranging from 800kVA to
  • 2.3MVA with a total capacity of 6.5MVA
  • Substations comprise of both landlord and retail requirements.
  • All Design approvals obtained in preparation of RA completing all contestable construction works.

SSE: 5 year EV Charging Points Framework

IrelandConstruction of an Ultra-Rapid charging facility at Lough Sheever Corporate Park in Mullingar, Ireland.

The brief was to design and build an operational electric vehicle charging infrastructure comprising a total of six standard vehicle bays and four commercial vehicle parking bays comprising of five no. dual head Swarco Raption Compact Chargers

ERA scope consisted of:

  • Design and build a brick-built substation to ESBN specifications including installation, termination and commissioning of all Client supplied equipment
  • Design and installation of all MV and LV cable routes from LV pillar to chargers, substation to canopy,
  • External lighting & CCTV where required
  • Design and build on-site customer toilet with disabled access
  • Design and installation of EV Canopy
  • All associated off site civils

2 -3 Finsbury Avenue, Broadgate

2 Finsbury Avenue at Broadgate is located at the largest pedestrianised neighbourhood in Central London. The project consisted of a 12-storey podium with a 21-storey West Tower and 36-storey East Tower. In line with the client’s sustainability strategy, the building will target net zero carbon in construction and operation.

  • Line, Level and condition survey of sewers
  • Trial Hole Investigations
  • Design & Build – Multi Utility diversions including utility disconnections and abandonment works.
  • Gas and water main Diversions

  • ICP Delivery – 9.5MVA load with 7.5MVA back up supply
  • All Design approvals obtained in preparation of RA completing all contestable construction works.

1 Broadgate is located in the southern part of the Broadgate campus in the City of London, providing flexible accommodation for a mix of uses including 50,000 square feet of retail space arranged around a new retail arcade over two levels, and 500,000 square feet of new office space above.

SSE 5 year ev charging point framework

Over the next 5 years SSE are investing in a roll-out of 3,000 fast- charge points, grouped in 300 “EV hubs.

The 150 kilowatt (kW) fast-charge stations, which use direct current as opposed to alternating current, can take a typical EV battery from empty-to-full in 30 minutes to an hour.

SSE 66/11kV Fuji Primary Sub:station

Reach Active scope consisted of:

  • To design and build a Primary 66/11kV Compound – Including plinths and structures for disconnectors, CSE’s and CT’s
  • Design and build of transformer plinths, NER plinths, LVAC Generator plinths
  • Design, Installation testing and commissioning of 2nr 15/30MVA 66/11kV transformers, NERS, LVAC panels and distribution boards
  • Design supply and installation of all auxiliary wiring
  • Design of site compound including all fencing and parking facilities.

Greystar Bermondsey

The scheme, at the former Peek Freans biscuit factory site, features 1,548 homes, extensive play and public spaces, including a large public roof terrace and pedestrian walkways.

The site incorporates new homes for a range of rents, a new secondary school and employment, cultural and retail spaces, interwoven into the neighbourhood. The development will incorporate historic buildings in the area into the plans.

Reach Active scope consisted of:

  • To design supply and installation of new multi utility services including, Drainage, HV, LV, Potable Water and District Heating installations.
  • The diversion of existing utilities and abandonment of TW sewers.
  • Procurement of S106 and S116 agreements with Thames Water for new connections and drainage abandonments.
  • Construction of haul Roads to facilitate future construction traffic.
  • Provision of all Local Authority Licencing to facilitate off site utility connections.
  • Acting as principle Contractor under the CDM regulations.
  • All project and onsite management

Almacantar Puddle dock project located at Blackfriars London.

This project is the redevelopment of several large buildings on the 3.62ha Puddle Dock site just South of St Paul’s Cathedral and is a masterplan by Almacantar and Network Rail. Circa overall project budget is expected £1B.

After detailed discussions with Almacantar, Reach Active’s scope will be the Design and Build of the new incoming power upgrade and huge multi utility diversions including large sewers.
