As part of the Forbury Assets (IDNO) EV Hub rollout, Reach Active as an Independent Connection Provider (ICP) will deliver the HV cable and ducting from the UK Power Network local HV Circuit. This is terminated into a HV Ring Main Unit (intake) and adopted by UK Power Networks. From there, there is a connecting HV cable to a 2.5MVA Transformer substation which will be installed, commission, tested and energised by Reach Active. This delivery is to electrically charge a fleet of buses to serve the wider community.
The Biscuit Factory
The Biscuit Factory, located in Bermondsey, is a £500m build-to-rent scheme that will feature more than 1,500 new homes following the deputy Mayor of London’s successful planning approval.
Developer Grosvenor Estates’ plans also include new play and public spaces, and 150,000 square feet of flexible employment space. It will be a car-free development built to net-zero carbon, zero waste and biodiversity goals.
Reach Active are providing an ICP design and build HV power solution together with multi-utility diversions and disconnections.
London Olympia
The London Olympia Exhibition project is £1bn project to transform London Olympia London into a world-leading cultural hub. YOO Capital and Deutsche Finance International – which own the historic exhibition centre have obtained planning approval to turn the 14-acre site into a destination with leading hotels and restaurants, plus performance venues and state-of-the-art office space.
Reach Active is providing an ICP design and build delivery. The scope consists of the design, build and delivery of approximately 2km of civil duct route, 5km HV cabling, jointing/testing and 2 multi panel switch rooms for a DNO adoption. In addition to this ICP scheme, is the customer electricity distribution network. This involves the delivery of 21 number 11kV package substations and associated onsite cabling totalling a mega 22.2MVA.
