As part of the Forbury Assets (IDNO) EV Hub rollout, Reach Active as an Independent Connection Provider (ICP) will deliver the HV cable and ducting from the UK Power Network local HV Circuit. This is terminated into a HV Ring Main Unit (intake) and adopted by UK Power Networks. From there, there is a connecting HV cable to a 2.5MVA Transformer substation which will be installed, commission, tested and energised by Reach Active. This delivery is to electrically charge a fleet of buses to serve the wider community.

The Biscuit Factory

The Biscuit Factory, located in Bermondsey, is a £500m build-to-rent scheme that will feature more than 1,500 new homes following the deputy Mayor of London’s successful planning approval.

Developer Grosvenor Estates’ plans also include new play and public spaces, and 150,000 square feet of flexible employment space. It will be a car-free development built to net-zero carbon, zero waste and biodiversity goals.

Reach Active are providing an ICP design and build HV power solution together with multi-utility diversions and disconnections.

London Olympia

The London Olympia Exhibition project is £1bn project to transform London Olympia London into a world-leading cultural hub. YOO Capital and Deutsche Finance International – which own the historic exhibition centre have obtained planning approval to turn the 14-acre site into a destination with leading hotels and restaurants, plus performance venues and state-of-the-art office space.

Reach Active is providing an ICP design and build delivery. The scope consists of the design, build and delivery of approximately 2km of civil duct route, 5km HV cabling, jointing/testing and 2 multi panel switch rooms for a DNO adoption. In addition to this ICP scheme, is the customer electricity distribution network. This involves the delivery of 21 number 11kV package substations and associated onsite cabling totalling a mega 22.2MVA.

ESB – Knockanure to Moyvane – 220kV Cable Trenching and Ducting

Following the successful award of the 8.2km Finglas to Belcamp 220kV UG network installation project, which is nearing  completion, ESB have awarded ERA a further 220kV project in County Kerry. The Moyvane to Knockanure project is currently at ramp-up stage and construction of the 6.5 km network installation will commence in the next 4-6 weeks.

Edwardian Group – Leicester Square – Multi-utilities and Deep Drainage

The Edwardian Hotel Group is developing a new 350 bedroom spa hotel and cinema complex in Leicester Square, London. Due to open its doors in 2020, ‘The Londoner’ will have eight storeys above ground and six below ground, complete with bars and restaurants. There will be two Odeon cinemas, event and leisure facilities.

Following the successful delivery of a complex multi utility diversion design and build contract in 2015, ReachActive continues to develop our relationship with the Edwardian Hotels Group and are delivering a design and build solution for all new incoming utility supplies including deep drainage, HV power, telecommunications, gas and potable water.

British Land/Cantillon – Fleur De Lis Passage – Multi-utilities

Blossom Street is a new development in Spitalfields, London E1 being developed by British Land. Blossom Street is a regeneration area in Spitalfields close to the Shoreditch Tech City and the core City of London market, comprising three sites and being developed in partnership with the Corporation of London.

The plans will deliver a total of 347,000 sq ft comprising office space, 13 new retail units and 40 new apartments. The various elements would be integrated through two new areas of public space, totaling 15,000 sq ft, and would be accessible via a new pedestrian route running from Commercial Street to Shoreditch High Street.

ReachActive are undertaking a multi-utility protection and diversion strategy for our client.

CORE – 20 Ropemaker Street – ICP Delivery

20 Ropemaker is a new 27 storey building in the City of London, providing 447,000 sq ft of offices and 10,000 sq ft of retail. Its stepped design forms a variety of floor sizes from 25,500 sq ft to 7,900 sq ft. 5 terraces of 18,000 sq ft together with south facing balconies providing external amenity and views of the City Cluster.

ReachActive are working collaboratively on all multi-utility services for the future incoming supplies, including the provision of a new ICP HV Power Supply with  6 MVA capacity.



Brookfield plc – One Leadenhall – ICP Delivery and Multi-utility Diversions

One Leadenhall will be a new 36 storey building adjacent to the historic Leadenhall Market.  This new tower is bringing 28 floors of office accommodation, 9,300ft² of retail space and a free public terrace to an important corner of the City of London. The 36-storey building will reside next to the Grade II* listed Leadenhall Market, on the site of the ancient Roman Forum, an area home to several historic City structures, including the Lloyd’s building, St Michael’s Cornhill and St Peter upon Cornhill.

ReachActive are responsible for a full design and build strategy for all multi-utility diversions, disconnections and new incoming services.  Our ICP design and build delivery comprises of approximately 3.5km of civils trenching/ducting and associated HV cable jointing and commissioning thus providing our client with a new 11kV diverse circuit through heavily congested road and foot ways within the City of London.
